Plumber Invoice Template
A burst pipe at 11 p.m. is a different job from a Tuesday afternoon faucet swap, and the invoice should say so. Put standard labor, the emergency call-out, and parts and fittings on separate lines so the customer can see why tonight costs more.
Add the job details and your rates, then download a PDF to hand over before you pack up.
Tip: in the print dialog choose “Save as PDF”.

Invoicing tips for plumbers
- Label emergency or after-hours work clearly at its own higher rate. A mystery number gets a phone call; "Emergency call-out" doesn't.
- List parts and fittings separately from labor, so nobody thinks your hourly rate is the whole story.
- If your work comes with a warranty, write it in the notes. It's a selling point, and it's your record of what you promised.
Frequently asked questions
- How do plumbers bill for emergency work?
- Put emergency or after-hours labor on its own line at your higher rate. The customer sees exactly why the total is higher than a standard visit.
- Should a plumbing invoice mention a warranty?
- If you offer one, yes. Add it to the notes so the customer has the coverage on parts and labor in writing.
